DFG funds project "Single grain based Temperaturemodelling for NC form grinding"

Please provide a copyright notice
In this research project, single-grain temperatures in the cutting zone are measured using a ratio pyrometer. By means of geometric-physical process simulation, the influencing factors on the temperatures generated during the cutting process—such as grain shape, engagement conditions, and cooling lubricant strategy—are to be analyzed. Based on these findings, a temperature model will be developed to calculate process temperatures based on individual grain engagements.
